Directions to the Cobb County GTRI Field Office

Windy Hill Road :: Spring Road :: Delk Road/South Cobb Drive

From Windy Hill Road
From Interstate 75, exit at Windy Hill Road (Number 260) and proceed west. Cross over U.S. Highway 41 and proceed to the stoplight at Dixie Avenue (about 2.7 miles—immediately before the railroad overpass). Turn right on Dixie Avenue and proceed north, through two stop signs and the stop light at the Lockheed Martin entrance. Dixie Avenue then merges with Richardson Road at the Naval Air Station entrance. Proceed through the stop sign and go just past the sharp right-hand turn. The GTRI Cobb County Facility is on the right. Turn right and follow the road to Building One. There is a small visitors parking lot across the street from the pond. If the lot is full, park along the curb opposite the pond.

From Spring Road
From Cobb Parkway or Hargrove Road, proceed west on Spring Street to the stop light at Atlanta Road (about 3 miles—Advance Auto Parts on corner). Turn right on Atlanta Road and proceed north to the fourth stop light (George McMillan Drive) and turn right under railroad overpass to first light (Dixie Avenue). Turn left and proceed north on Dixie Avenue. Dixie Avenue then merges with Richardson Road at the Naval Air Station entrance. Proceed through the stop sign and go just past the sharp right-hand turn. The GTRI Cobb County Facility is on the right. Turn right and follow the road to Building One. There is a small visitors parking lot across the street from the pond. From Delk Road (South Cobb Drive)
From Delk Road, proceed west on Delk Road, which becomes South Cobb Drive. After passing the main entrance to Lockheed Martin on your left, proceed to the next light (Atlanta Road). Turn left on to Atlanta Road. Proceed south on Atlanta Road to the stop light at George McMillan Drive, then turn left and go under the railroad overpass to the first stop light (Dixie Avenue). Turn left and proceed north on Dixie Avenue, which merges with Richardson Road to the Naval Air Station entrance. Proceed through the stop sign and go just past the sharp right-hand turn.
